A Beloved Nature Tale, Read Aloud in Lovingly Spoken Spanish. With Each Page your Child will Connect with Language through Imagery, Seasonal Themes and Wonder

Hi, I'm Laura from Spain, a homeschooling mom of 2 and Waldorf Inspired Spanish teacher for children and teens

When my first child was born in Canada, I found myself as his sole source of Spanish interaction. I was determined to find an effective way to teach him Spanish as a native speaker, even in a non-native environment... and I succeeded! We now live in Spain and my boys adapted smoothly to life as native-speakers.

The key was integrating storytelling, singing, and rhymes into our daily routine. These activities not only fostered a deep connection in his heart and mind but also became a cherished ritual at home. It was a calming and enjoyable way to establish routines and make learning fun.

Now, alongside my private classes and membership programs, I offer a free monthly book club to support your family's Spanish learning at home

About the Author and the Illustrator: Jill Barklem

Jill Barklem

Jill Barklem (1951-2017) was a British writer and illustrator of children's books. Her most famous work is the Brambly Hedge series, published from 1980. She was drawn to the natural world ever since childhood. While training as an illustrator at St Martin’s School of Art, her long journeys to college gave her time to escape into the imaginary world of a colony of mice, later to be developed as the enchanting miniature world of Brambly Hedge.
“I did not have a very clear idea of my future but assumed I would earn my living by illustrating other people’s books. I certainly never imagined that one day I would write my own,” Barklem said.

Want the book for your home library? It is available in English (here) and in Spanish (in Amazon).  Amazon carries both languages as well as other independent bookstores.
