Live Waldorf Inspired Spanish Book Club
Last Thursday of Every Month 11:30am Central Time
- This month's book:
- Storytelling and books are powerful way to engage your child's heart and mind in learning languages
- I choose books with nature-inspired themes that align with a gentle, Waldorf approach
- This month, on 27 February 2025, I will be reading "La Mirada de Omar" by Mabel Parra, an environmental educator, mother and childhood friend of mine!
- The story follows Omar, as he discovers the miniature worlds that adults often ignore. It is a story about exploring the marvels of the natural world and inspires children to care for nature.
Children are linguistic sponges.
By incorporating bilingualism into your home rhythm in a playful, gentle and rhythmic way, you optimize on their innate physiology and love of learning

Hi, I'm Laura from Spain, a homeschooling mom of 2 and Waldorf Inspired Spanish teacher for children ages 3-12
After earning my degree in Journalism and Communications, I ventured into teaching Spanish as a second language
When my first child was born in Canada, I found myself as his sole source of Spanish interaction. I was determined to find an effective way to teach him Spanish as a native speaker, even in a non-native environment... and I succeeded! We now live in Spain and my boys adapted smoothly to life as native-speakers.
The key was integrating storytelling, singing, and rhymes into our daily routine. These activities not only fostered a deep connection in his heart and mind but also became a cherished ritual at home. It was a calming and enjoyable way to establish routines and make learning fun.
Now, alongside my private classes and membership programs, I offer a free monthly book club to support your family's Spanish learning at home
